CES is where the technology industry gathers to define its future. Google came to us to build an event presence around a joint initiative to make Android and Google products work better together. We designed Google’s presence at CES to showcase their joint collaboration and improved communication.
Problem We were tasked with uniting the Android and Google brands in a campaign that communicated this initiative to the 150,000+ attendees of CES. The design system needed to be flexible and eye-catching to work across everything from billboards to small placards.
Solution We took inspiration from the four-color printing process to convey the operational integration of these systems. We delivered art direction, brand, and motion guidelines for the full activation.

STRATEGY The campaign equally balanced both Android and Google brands, combining both color systems and identities. The visual metaphor spoke to the new alignment of the brands and the system-level impact of working together.

THE BRAND We leaned on type, color, iconography, and wit to build a system that felt distinct within the broader brand families. A brand campaign designed to cut through the noise of CES and communicate clearly.

“The crew at Company Policy are a joy to work with. We count on them for impeccable craftsmanship, an eye for culture and a pulse for what is relevant.”

Design System With numerous agencies and teams working to build Google’s CES presence we provided brand and motion guidance for the full-scale physical activation including, signage, motion displays, merch, and more.

Google’s 2022 CES presence was designed around the insight that Android and Google products now work better together. Their presence at the major event was centered around showcasing how the operating systems work across products to enhance their features.
We were brought in by Google’s Events and Experiences Team to design the ‘Better Together’ experiential brand system, providing art direction, brand guidelines, and motion guidelines for the full physical activation as teams designed and built the week-long experience.
Although COVID caused to the cancellation of CES that year, our design system re-emerged the following year with a slight evolution.
